Training for Employment is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise established in 2011 as a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP). It currently operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to cater for the needs of individuals in Selby, York and Leeds who are seeking to start up their own businesses, to become self-employed, to obtain a new job or to change their career direction.
Training for Employment tutors have experience in business training and support and running small enterprises. With experience in working for Business Link York and North Yorkshire and, more recently, working closely with Job Centre Plus to help people start up their own businesses through government schemes, this organisation has the vision to assist anyone in the Yorkshire region who wishes to achieve their goals and improve their lives.
Training for Employment offers self-employment workshops to individuals. For unemployed learners, or those on a low income, TfE offers these workshops on a fully-funded basis. They are, therefore, free at the point of delivery.
Training for Employment provides competitively-priced training to local authorities, schools and colleges who wish to offer enterprise awareness and self-employment workshops and courses. TfE offers these services to commercial organisations as part of their restructuring and redundancy support packages.
